This is my idea of making a sequel to the original Live Die Repeat move that has Emily Blunt and Tom Cruise.

After reviewing the original Japanese story https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_You_Need_Is_Kill I can understand why they made changes to the story for the American movie version. Repeating the same fight 160 times sounds extreme!

Here is the summary of the story:

The year is 2137, 150 years since the Great Alien War of Europe has recovered from devastation. Now the human race has ended all wars and violence. Some violence does take place on occasion, but everyone is united in respect to the fact that we all understand we are not alone in the Universe. That there are bad guys out there that do not like us at all.

And so a great harmony and advancement of science and religion has taken place. In which it is now known that God had chosen us to be the saviors of ourselves.

Shortly after the extermination of all ‘mimics’, Major Wiliam Cage and Rita Vrataski, the savior of Verdun, create a secret organization that has only one purpose, to prepare for the next mimic invasion. I mean, the mimics came to Earth on an asteroid, doesn’t mean another one of their asteroids can come again! So Earth must be prepared at all costs.

They sow the seeds of a secret organization referred to as the Green Horizon. Due to the green glow when a vision of time is shown to those who can reset the day. Cage and Vrataski theorize that to be a time walker, you must be reset within a 24 hour period each day, otherwise the time walking ability will fade and be lost to the infected. Others start to refer to them as death walkers, since they must embrace death each day to keep the ability.

Green Horizon does not know how to bestow and create a Death Walker, all they know is how to potentially prepare someone to be one. The organization creates a training process to help prepare someone to be a Death Walker as much as possible. In which by the end of the training, someone has undergone such extreme conditioning, that they themselves have been killed and brought back to live numerous times. Once an individual ‘graduates’ from the training, they are given the title of Death Walker Agent, DWA.

DWA’s have to continue with their training and be re-certified every 5 years. So they never stop with physical, emotional, and spiritual exercises. Most do not continue to be DWA’s for over 20 years, the human body can only take so much as we age…

Then, after almost 150 years since the great alien war, they come back, crashing in South America this time. And spreading quickly. And this time Green Horizon is prepared, executing ambushes that within just a few months, allow them to have their own death walker. And once the Death Walker is reborn, the DWA immediately started to take command and quickly start to wipe out the mimics.

But as Green Horizon has almost wiped out the mimics entire infestation of South America, there is corruption in the organization and the DWA is kidnapped and made normal once again. And many of the leadership of Green Horizon are found dead…

Here an outsider accidentally is brought into the struggle between Green Horizon and an unknown group…

Here Green Horizon staff find out that this new outsider is no ordinary individual, she is someone who has been given the power of time sight. Something a group of scientists figure out after the mimic landing and invasion of South Africa.

The outsider’s name is Jack Cage, a long descendent of William Cage from years ago, and he can sense what is going to happen before it happens, and can slow time when needed.

Here Jack gets the help of other betrayed Green Horizon Agents and they finally take out the mimics, as well as the rogue/spy group that tried to wipe out their own kind…
